PMMA (Polymethyl Methacrylate)

Commonly known as acrylic or plexiglass. Core features: superior optical performance with light transmittance up to 92%, clearer than ordinary glass. Light‑weight and tough, its impact strength is 7‑18 times that of glass. It features excellent weather resistance and resists yellowing and aging under long‑term outdoor exposure. It can be processed by injection molding and thermoforming. Its main limitations are low surface hardness prone to scratching and moderate heat resistance (typical service temperature: 80‑95 °C).
